Plant Warranty Terms & Conditions
We’re proud to stand behind the quality of our plant installations. That’s why we offer a one-year, one-time replacement warranty on plants we install—so long as the following conditions are met:
1. Eligibility
This warranty is available to clients who have paid their full remaining balance.
2. What’s Covered
If any plant we install fails within the first year, we’ll replace it once, at no additional cost. The warranty will be fulfilled with a single replacement visit addressing all plants that have failed within that one year.
3. Maintenance Requirement
To keep plants healthy and your warranty valid, ongoing care is essential. Plants are living organisms, and their long-term success depends on consistent watering, proper fertilization, pruning, and monitoring for pests and disease. Ground Builders offers professional maintenance programs if you would like our team to care for your landscape we would be happy to give you pricing.
4. What’s Not Covered
This warranty does not apply in cases where plant failure results from:
Extreme weather or natural disasters (e.g., droughts, floods, storms)
Damage from animals or pests occurring after installation.
Failure to follow watering or care guidance we provide. New sod is not covered by our plant warranty.
Final invoice must be paid.
5. Replacement Timing & Process
If a plant appears to be failing, just let us know within the one-year period. Fill out the form below and send us pictures. We will assess the issue and, if it qualifies, we’ll replace the affected material at no charge.
Please note: We will make one consolidated replacement visit, so we recommend notifying us of any failed plants all at once at the end of the year. Once we have made a replacement visit the warranty will be fulfilled.
6. Warranty Limitations
This warranty applies only to plants installed as part of the original project.
It is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.
Replacement plants are not covered by a separate warranty.
Hardscape Warranty Terms & Conditions
At Ground Builders, we take pride in the durability of our hardscape work. That’s why we offer a one-time, ten-year structural warranty on newly installed hardscapes—including segmental retaining walls (SRW), free-standing walls, fire pits and fireplaces, and paver patios—when the following conditions are met:
1. Eligibility
This warranty applies only to clients whose final invoice has been paid in full.
2. What’s Covered
If your hardscape project shows structural failure or significant shifting within ten years of installation, we’ll repair or replace the affected area at no additional cost. Coverage is limited to a one-time repair or replacement.
3. Maintenance Requirement
This warranty does not apply to damage or failure resulting from:
Severe weather or natural events (e.g., storms, flooding, earthquakes)
Misuse or abuse (e.g., impact from heavy equipment, vehicle overloading)
Ground movement due to poor underlying soil conditions, erosion, or natural settling beyond our control
Polymeric sand (joint sand) is not covered under warranty.
Lack of proper care or failure to follow maintenance guidelines we provide
4. Repair or Replacement Process
If a hardscape issue arises during the warranty period, please notify us promptly—before the 10-year period ends. We will schedule a site visit to evaluate the issue. If the problem qualifies, we’ll make the necessary repairs or replacements at no cost.
Please note: We allow for one service trip to carry out warranty repairs. We recommend reporting all known issues together to ensure timely and efficient resolution.
5. Warranty Limitations
This warranty applies only to the original installation by Ground Builders.
It is non-transferable and valid only for the original client.
Any alterations to the installed hardscape or modifications to site drainage conditions after completion—including changes to grading, downspouts, irrigation, or water flow patterns—may void this warranty if those changes were not part of the original installation scope.
